Lite Resin Transfer Molding- LEADER

Lite Resin Transfer Molding
(L RTM) (LEADER) is the most commonly utilized process of all closed molding varieties for the fiberglass composite industry. This process begins with a mold base and a mold top (counter mold) that are vacuum sealed together. A catalyst resin is pressure pumped into the vacuum sealed mold to form the fiberglass part. Once the resin cures, the part is released from the mold. Lite Resin Transfer Molding is perfect for fast production cycles in high production runs. Typical applications are for medium to large scale production parts.

Advantages of Resin Transfer Molding are:
  • Flawless surfaces
  • Large complex parts
  • Minimal capital investments
  • Little waste
  • Long mold life
  • Short cycle times
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Smooth on both side surfaces
  • Quick prototypes
